In the south of France, near celebrated Provençal sites such as Arles, the Alpilles, and Aix-en-Provence, you will find the Domaine de Sulauze. Located in the Coteaux d’Aix-en-Provence appellation, this 1,235-acre domaine encompasses nearly 200 acres of cultivated land and more than 1,000 acres of garrigue scrubland.
The soils and climate of the domaine are unique, yielding distinctive wines. The domaine’s owners strive to maintain the authentic character of the place and its land and vines. Out of respect for the vineyards and the environment, the domaine practices organic agriculture. Red grapes grown include Mourvèdre, Grenache, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Calladoc, Cinsault, and Marselan, while white grapes include Rolle, Grenache blanc, Clairette, and Ugni blanc.
In addition to winemaking, the Domaine de Sulauze, also breeds bulls for bullfights, does branding of livestock, and offers facilities for banquets and parties. |
