Château La Calisse
Coteaux Varois en Provence
Beautiful dark robe. Aromas of cooked red berries. A powerful wine, slightly tannic.
Grapes are harvested by hand when fully ripe, with selected bunches carried to the cellar in 20kg boxes.
Traditional fermentation in cement vats for 8-10 days, with risings, followed by growing in a vat. Some of the growing is done in new oak barrels.
Chalky soil, balanced texture
